30 Years in the making
Thirty years ago, when Eamonn and Ita Kelly began their wholesale flower business, they could never have predicted the size and scale of the changes ahead. Truly a global business, today's operation is based in a 50,000 sq ft custom built, temperature controlled building. Sited on 2.7 acres in Lisburn, N.Ireland, the site houses every aspect of cut flower and pot plant processing, storage and delivery. Plus, accommodates a well stocked and hugely impressive floral sundries department.
Perhaps Kelly Flowers greatest strength is the strong family connection, together with their loyal, hardworking and knowledgeable staff, the common purpose is to supply the greatest variety and highest standard of floral product from across the world.
Making this happen seamlessly is a huge operation .Yet it goes on every day across Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East. In Rijnsburg; Holland, for example, the Kelly Flowers depot and transport hub is sited at the flower auction itself. This allows for the quick movement of flowers and plants from source to N.Ireland - a process completed daily.
Kelly European Freight Services
Kelly Flowers sister company operates 14 temperature controlled articulated lorries across Europe. Whether it's Holland, Denmark, Belgium or Italy this ensures reliable links between N.Ireland and the major European suppliers and growers. From Holland, each day, at least 1 of these lorries will leave the Kelly Flowers auction depot at Rijnsburg.
